Great Dismal Swamp Trail

Claire Worsley

One of my favorite things about living in the Hampton Roads area is the huge variety of things to do.

No matter the season, there’s always something to keep you busy.

My favorite outdoor activity to do when the sun is out and the temperature is just right is to go hiking at First Landing State Park off of Shore Drive. The different trails all have beautiful scenery and are a great way to stay active. There are also many other trails to explore within the Hampton Roads area such as the Great Dismal Swamp Trail in Chesapeake and The Noland Trail in Newport News.

When the weather isn’t as nice, I love to go to various museums within the area! The Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center in Virginia Beach is my personal favorite place to go to. Also, I love the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art to walk through and see the different art exhibits on display.
