Portsmouth

Portsmouth is one of Virginia’s most historic seaports with an incredible Old Towne Historic District and numerous historical markers. Portsmouth is also known for its murals, the Children’s Museum, nature preserves, and the Art Deco movie house. For basketball fans, each April since 1953 the city has hosted the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament, where college basketball seniors play in front of scouts from the NBA and top European leagues.
